Ho Chi Minh – Delta Mekong 1 day

Head deep into the heart of the Mekong Delta on this guided full-day tour, without having to worry about transportation. Enjoy the scenery during the trip from Ho Chi Minh City; then step aboard a private long-tail boat to explore the river and hear about its unique ecosystem. Lunch and samples of regional specialties, such as coconut candy and tropical fruit, are included.

08.00: Our bus will pick you up at your hotel to take a 2-hour ride to Tien Giang province (roughly 75 km west of Sai Gon ) followed by a smooth one and half hour motorboat ride passing rice fields and stopping over National Highway 1 leads visitors to the beautiful rural district of Trung Luong.

09.30: The bus stops at Cao Dai temple in the town of Ben Luc for taking picture.

09.45: Upon arrival to My Tho City, cross the Tien River by motorboat on the upper part of the Mekong River to see the fishing market and visit the floating fish farm. Enjoy the view of Dragon, Phoenix, Unicorn, and Turtle island as well. Cruise along small creeks through Mekong River estuaries to Rach Xep natural canal, which is fully covered with water coconuts. Visit orchards and be farms to taste natural honey and honey wine. Enjoy!

10.30: Visit Nam Bo houses (traditional Southern Vietnamese houses) by horse carriage and taste some special products from the garden. Watch children happily make their way back home from school and high school girls in beautiful in their “ÁO DÀI”- traditional Vietnamese clothing

10.50: Take a walk around the fruit garden and taste the seasonal fruits as you enjoy a traditional South Vietnamese musical performance.

11.15: After visiting traditional houses enjoy a memorizing rowing boat trip through small canals.

11.45: Take a motorboat cruise along more natural creeks and peaceful villages.

12.10: Satisfy your sweet tooth by stopping by a coconut candy mill to indulge in this tasty snack while seeing how it is made.

12.20: Enjoy a Vietnamese lunch in a restaurant located in a local home.

13.20: Ride your bike (about 1 hour) around the village shaded by coconut trees as you pass immense green rice fields and admire the beautiful scenery

– Visit a rice vendor and see how rice paper is made.
– Learn about the “same same, but different” trees that grow throughout the Mekong Delta Day Tour. Then, try guessing the names of the trees by using your nose!

14.30: Boat back to My Tho City.

16:30 Tour ends in Hochiminh city.
